Saturday Night Live - Season 0 Episode 1 - Comedy TV Shows 67:14. story about One of the few episodes to air from a location outside of NBC's studios at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York, the Mardi Gras Special was broadcast live from New Orleans on Mardi Gras 1977. It was hosted by Randy Newman, who also performed songs, and featured a number of special guests, including Buck Henry, Eric Idle, Cindy Williams, and Henry Winkler.
