Julieta Tetelbaum

​​​​Julieta Tetelbaum is a queer film director, cinematographer, screenwriter, art director, and sculptor from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in London. Her multifaceted artistic vision explores themes of gender, feminism, memories, violence, intimacy, functional diversity, and sexuality, challenging conventional storytelling and cinematic norms. Her acclaimed films—The Misfortune of Femininity (2020), Wake Up! It's Yesterday (2021), Black Chalk (2022), and Joy (2023)—are part of the Library of Congress of Argentina's collection and have been showcased in museums, art galleries, urban spaces, and over 200 international film festivals worldwide. Highlights of Tetelbaum's career include a special screening of Joy alongside Pedro Almodóvar's Pain and Glory at Argentina's Library of Congress, and solo exhibitions at the IA&A Hillyer Gallery in Washington, D.C., and an extensive solo showcase of her filmography at cinemas worldwide. Her work has been exhibited at renowned venues like the BFI in London, MALBA in Buenos Aires, National Sawdust in New York, and the Focal Point Gallery. She has also collaborated with celebrated artists Marta Minujín at Frieze New York and Amalia Pica at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.​​​
